The development of the NOVA product line began with a scientific observation of how the right combination of natural ingredients had a powerful effect on the vitality of the skin’s stem cells. The product development was carried out in collaboration with Finnish university researchers and Solun’s scientific experts.
The goal of the product line’s development was to create a skincare range suitable for all age groups and responsive to the individual needs of different skin types.
Because the skin is constantly renewing itself, the development focused on supporting this natural regeneration process through the series’ unique stem cell effect.
As the development progressed, a study was conducted using three different measurement technologies. These were used to monitor key factors affecting skin well-being from several different areas of the skin:
Skin elasticity, where an increase in values indicates positive skin effects; skin hydration, where an increase in values suggests improved moisture balance; and skin permeability, where a decrease in values demonstrates the strengthening of the skin’s protective barrier and improved overall condition.

After just the first week, the overall condition of the skin had improved by an average of 50%. After two weeks, the skin’s moisture balance had improved by about 20%, while skin elasticity increased by up to 50%.
Such results are rare, as genuine dermatological studies have been conducted on only a few skincare products. Often, effectiveness is exaggerated by reporting a 200% increase in hydration immediately after application, even though the measurement only concerns the surface of the skin. Claims such as “97% of users felt their skin was softer” are also based on opinion surveys rather than real biological changes.

This concerns a 10-year-old boy who was diagnosed with atopic eczema at the age of four. His skin has always been in varying condition, but the last two years it has been worse. We have used pharmacy creams and, as a last resort, corticosteroid ointment.

For those of us older, so-called “liver spots” often appear, and I had them too. They can start as a tiny spot, but over time they become larger, as happened with me. I found the spot on my left cheek particularly bothersome, as it seemed to just keep growing.

A lifelong history of acne, along with mild atopy. In adulthood, acne is hormonally influenced. Pigment scars remain in the deeper layers of the skin from previous acne. Due to skin problems, many different medications have been taken, and scars have been treated, for example, with laser, without significant improvement.

Problem
Due to sun exposure, the skin felt “aged and dull” as well as thick. Some pockmarks remained from earlier acne, and the skin was surface-dry with fine lines easily visible. On the neck, “elephant skin” had developed under the Spanish sun in spring. Already on the second day of use, I felt a tingling sensation under the skin — clearly something was starting to happen.
